Island Lake Shooting Range has been operated by Michigan Shooting Center's owner, professional shooter and instructor, Pat Lieske, since 2001. The facility, located at 13600 Grand River Road in Brighton, MI, is easily accessible just one mile off of I-96 between Kensington and Kent Lake roads. The first-class facilities at Island Lake include: a 15 station sporting clays course with four automatic traps at each station, 5-stand, skeet, trap and an outdoor rifle and pistol range.

When it comes to hosting tournaments, Island Lake has lots of experience under it's belt. In the past ten years we have hosted two Zone 3 Championships, two Michigan State Championships, and three team USA sporting clays selection shoots known as the "Lieske SOS 200".

Pat Lieske of Michigan Shooting Centers took over Bald Mountain Shooting Range in April of 2010. At that time, the facility was completely renovated from its previous state of despair and reconstructed to become one of Michigan's finest shooting range. The renovation included an entire clubhouse "revamp", landscaping overhaul as well as the addition of a brand new sporting clays course. Bald Mountain currently offers a 14 station sporting clays course with four automatic machines at each station, a 5 station beginner executive clays course, 5-stand and an outdoor rifle and pistol range.

Bald Mountain Shooting most recently hosted the 2011 Michigan State Sporting Clays Championships in June. This year's shoot had the most State Shoot attendees since 2005 in Michigan, just under 200. Over $13,000 was given away, the most payouts at a Michigan State Championships ever! The below is a direct email quote of a compliment that we received from a very avid Michigan NSCA competitor regarding the 2011 MI State Championships:

"To everyone at Michigan Shooting Centers involved in producing one of our finest State tournaments ever! Congratulations on a job well done- in every aspect- beginning w/ advanced publicizing and promotion, smooth registration and score reporting, targets, food, facilities including the manicured landscaping, all led to a very user friendly event ! Success is contagious;  keep up your very good work!"
